Ampilox CV DDS Syrup is an antibiotic. It has two active agents, amoxycillin and clavulanic acid. Amoxycillin works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) essential for the survival of the bacteria. Whereas, clavulanic acid serves a special purpose of inhibiting an enzyme (beta-lactamase) that is produced by resistant bacteria.

Ampilox CV DDS Syrup is an antibiotic medicine that helps treat bacterial infections of the ear, nose, throat, chest, lungs, teeth, skin, and urinary tract. It is capable of killing bacteria that have become resistant to other therapies and thus also helps treat tuberculosis that is resistant to other treatments.

How to Use Ampilox CV DDS Syrup?

  • Normally take Ampilox CV DDS Syrup exactly as your doctor has told you.

If you forget to take Ampilox CV DDS Syrup

  • Take your Ampilox CV DDS Syrup at the next scheduled time if you miss a dose and it is close to the next scheduled dose.
  • Do not take a double dose to make up for the one you missed.

If you take more Ampilox CV DDS Syrup

  • Contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital if you are taking more than the recommended syrup.
  • These effects usually wear off in a few hours.

If you stop taking Ampilox CV DDS Syrup

  • Until your doctor advises you to do so, do not stop taking this syrup.
