What is Abustat 40mg Tablet?

Abustat 40mg Tablet is contains Febuxostat which belongs to Xanthine oxidase (XO) inhibitor, used to lower blood uric acid levels in adults with gout. Gout is a type of arthritis in which uric acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body, builds up in the joints which can cause sudden, severe pain, redness, warmth and swelling in a joint.

  • Normally take Abustat 40mg Tablet exactly as your doctor has told you.

If you forget to take Abustat 40mg Tablet

  • Take your Abustat 40mg Tablet at the next scheduled time if you miss a dose and it is close to the next scheduled dose.
  • Do not take a double dose to make up for the one you missed.

If you take more Abustat 40mg Tablet

  • Contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital if you are taking more than the recommended tablet.
  • These effects usually wear off in a few hours.

If you stop taking Abustat 40mg Tablet

  • Until your doctor advises you to do so, do not stop taking this medicine.
