What is Acipsor 25mg Capsule?

Acipsor 25mg Capsule is contains acitretin which belongs to a group of medicines called ‘retinoids. It is used to treat severe skin condition in which the skin has become thick and scaly. These skin problems include the psoriasis, ichthyosis and keratosis follicularis (Darier’s disease). It should not be given to children as it may cause changes in bone growth.

How to Use Acipsor 25mg Capsule?

  • Normally take Acipsor 25mg Capsule exactly as your doctor has told you.
  • Do not crush or chew the Capsule.
  • Put it in your mouth but do not swallow it.  
  • Take it at the same time every day with food or a glass of milk.
  • Do not handle the tablets with wet hands.

If you forget to take Acipsor 25mg Capsule

  • Take your Acipsor 25mg Capsule at the next scheduled time if you miss a dose and it is close to the next scheduled dose.
  • Do not take a double dose to make up for the one you missed.

If you take more Acipsor 25mg Capsule

  • Contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital if you are taking more than the recommended Capsule.
  • These effects usually wear off in a few hours.

If you stop taking Acipsor 25mg Capsule

  • Until your doctor advises you to do so, do not stop taking this Capsule.

  • Do not take this Capsule after the expiry date.
  • Avoid wearing contact lenses and be cautious before driving or using machines.
  • Take Acipsor 25mg Capsule in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor.
  • You will need to take pregnancy tests regularly if you are on treatment with and for at least 3 years after you stop taking this medicine.
