What is Actilyse 20mg Injection?

Actilyse 20mg Injection is a medicine which dissolves the clots that have formed in blood vessels. It is used to treat stroke, heart attack, and pulmonary embolism (blood clots in the lungs). It is known as a thrombolytic or “clot-busting” medicine.

What are the uses Actilyse 20mg Injection?

Actilyse 20mg Injection is used for treating,

• Treatment of Heart attack and Ischemic stroke
• Treatment of Pulmonary embolism

How to Use Actilyse 20mg Injection?

• Normally use Actilyse 20mg Injection exactly as your doctor has told you.
• It should be given as soon as possible (within 12 hours) after the onset of a heart attack or within 4.5 hours of onset of stroke.

If you forget to use Actilyse 20mg Injection

• Use your Actilyse 20mg Injection at the next scheduled time if you miss a dose and it is close to the next scheduled dose.
• Do not use a double dose to make up for the one you missed.

If you take more Actilyse 20mg Injection

• Contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital if you are using more than the recommended Injection.
• These effects usually wear off in a few hours.

If you stop using Actilyse 20mg Injection

• Until your doctor advises you to do so, do not stop using this Injection.
