How Advan-THF Cream Works

Advan-THF Cream is a melasma treatment that combines three medications: hydroquinone, tretinoin, and fluocinolone acetonide (dark spots on skin). Hydroquinone is a topical skin lightening agent. It decreases the amount of a skin pigment called melanin, which causes skin to darken. Tretinoin is a kind of vitamin A that aids the skin's natural renewal process. The steroid fluocinolone acetonide inhibits the formation of specific chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that cause skin to become red, puffy, and itching.
