How Alerfri Syrup Works

Alerfri Syrup is a mixture of three drugs that relieves common cold symptoms: chlorpheniramine, paracetamol, and phenylephrine. Chlorpheniramine is an antihistamine that helps to alleviate allergy symptoms such as runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing. Analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic, paracetamol (fever reducer). It prevents the brain from releasing those chemical messengers that cause pain and fever. Phenylephrine is a nasal decongestant that works by narrowing the small blood vessels in the nose to relieve congestion and stuffiness.
