  • Saw a heart attack (myocardial infarction)
  • Having heart issues such as heart rhythm abnormalities seen on an electrocardiogram (ECG), heart block, or coronary artery disease
  • Slow heart rate, heart attack, heart failure
  • Have a low blood potassium or magnesium level, or a high blood potassium level.
