Amokav Duo Dry Syrup is a medication that contains antibiotics. Amoxycillin and clavulanic acid are the active ingredients. Amoxycillin acts by stopping the bacteria from forming their protective covering (cell wall), which is necessary for their survival. Clavulanic acid, on the other hand, has the specific function of blocking an enzyme (beta-lactamase) produced by resistant bacteria. As a result, the combination of amoxycillin and clavulanic acid is effective against a wide range of illnesses.
