The Augpen 625 BID tablet is a form of penicillin antibiotic that helps your body combat bacterial infections. It is used to treat lung, ear, nasal sinus, urinary tract, skin and soft tissue infections (e.g. pneumonia). For respiratory infections like the common cold, it will not function.

Description

Directions & For Use

  • Always take this medication exactly as you have been told by your doctor,
  • With a glass of water, swallow the tablets whole.
  • Space the doses equally, at least 4 hours apart, throughout the day. Do not take 2 doses in 1 hour or 1 hour.
  • For more than 2 weeks, do not take AUGPEN. You should go back to see the doctor if you still feel unwell.

Side effects

  • Joint pain
  • Easy bruising and bleeding
  • Altered sense of taste
  • Heavy menstrual bleeding
  • Tooth discoloration
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Painful intercourse
  • Skin yellowing

Warning & Precautions

Speak to your doctor if you have,

  • Allergic to amoxicillin, penicillin, clavulanic acid or some of the other ingredients of this medicinal product
  • A significant allergic reaction to some other antibiotic has ever occurred. This may involve a skin rash or facial or throat swelling.
  • When taking an antibiotic, you have jaundice (yellowing of the skin)
  • Possess glandular fever
  • Treatment for problems with the liver or kidneys
