What is Axid Capsule?

Axid Capsule is an antacid. It reduces the amount of excess acid made by your stomach. It is used to treat and prevent heartburn, indigestion and other symptoms caused by too much acid in the stomach. It is also used to treat and prevent stomach ulcers, reflux disease and some other rare conditions.

What are the uses Axid Capsule?

Axid Capsule is used for treating,

• Heartburn
• Gastroesophageal reflux disease (Acid reflux)
• Peptic ulcer disease

How to Use Axid Capsule?

• Normally take Axid Capsule exactly as your doctor has told you.
• It may cause diarrhea, gas or an upset stomach.
• Do not handle the tablets with wet hands.

If you forget to take Axid Capsule

• Take your Axid Capsule at the next scheduled time if you miss a dose and it is close to the next scheduled dose.
• Do not take a double dose to make up for the one you missed.

If you take more Axid Capsule

• Contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital if you are taking more than the recommended tablet.
• These effects usually wear off in a few hours.

If you stop taking Axid Capsule

• Until your doctor advises you to do so, do not stop taking this medicine.

• Diarrhea
• Muscle pain

More Information :

• Keep Axid Capsule out of the reach of kids.
• Store at room temperature away from moisture, heat, and light (15-25°C).
• Do not take this medicine after the expiry date.
• Take Axid Capsule in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor.
• If you are also taking other medications to treat acidity take them 2 hours before or after taking Axid Capsule.
