How to Control high blood sugar level??

Lack of insulin production

This is the basic reason for diabetes. It occurs when Insulin (which is a hormone that lowers the level of glucose (a type of sugar) in the blood). Insulin leaves too much in the blood and this will increase your sugar level.

Insulin resistance

It normally occurs when insulin is produced in the pancreas in this type of diabetes pancreas will create more insulin to overcome the body's resistance. At one point body slows down insulin production and this will increase too much glucose in the blood. this type of diabetes called prediabetes. A person who has prediabetes has a higher level of blood sugar compared to normal. in this type of diabetes, insulin continues to decrease and increases.

Genes and family history

This means if you have a parent and siblings with diabetes, so you may also have chances of having diabetes. Genetics plays important role in determining how likely you are to develop some type of diabetes.

Age

At the age of 40 normally people can develop diabetes at any age, from age of beginning and after 40, but the average age at diagnosis is 13 years. An estimated 85% of people diagnosed under 20 years.

In childhood it less common, but it can occur when insulin is not working correctly. If you want to keep yourself safe from diabetes so you need high insulin, less insulin can accumulate in the bloodstream.

We can manage diabetes from following:-

  • Changing the diet
  • Getting more exercise
  • Maintaining a moderate weight

Obesity

Obesity means fat or overweight. Fat lead to insulin resistance and cause inflammation and many overweight people never develop diabetes and more research is needed on the link between obesity and diabetes.

Poor diet

A poor diet means high calories, fat, and cholesterol which is increases because of your poor diet. it is necessary to improve your diet because to control your sugar level.

Less Exercise

Exercise is very important for each and everyone for heath, especially for diabetes people. Exercise makes muscle tissue respond better to insulin. less exercise increases your sugar level and continuous exercise and resistance training can lower your diabetes risk.

Hormonal Conditions

Some of the hormonal conditions are:-

Sometimes When a person has diabetes, either their body does not produce enough insulin, or it cannot use the insulin correctly, so glucose accumulates in the blood. High levels of blood glucose can cause a range of symptoms, from exhaustion to heart disease.

Eat complex carbohydrates

Complex carbohydrates do not increase sugar levels rapidly. this carbohydrate is made up of three or more sugars that are linked together and it takes the body longer to break them down.it includes whole grain oats and sweet potatoes.

Increase dietary fiber intake

Fiber decreases carbohydrates. take soluble fiber which is the most helpful in controlling blood sugar.

Soluble fiber is in the following foods:

  • Vegetables
  • Legumes
  • Whole grains
  •  Fruit

Maintain a healthy weight:- Every person especially a person having diabetes must be needed to maintain a healthy weight.

Exercise regularly

Exercise has many benefits for all people including diabetes, this will reduce weight loss and increased insulin sensitivity Exercise helps to decrease sugar levels by encouraging the body’s muscles to use sugar for energy.

Hydrate

Proper hydration is important for better health. to keep healthy and to keep sugar control by drinking enough water to prevent dehydration. Water removes extra sugar from the body in the urine.

Avoid all drinks like fruit juice and alcohol drink.

Manage stress

Stress is also the main reason for increasing sugar. when stress hormone under tension, it raises sugar level.

Get sufficient sleep

Sleeping reduces the amount of sugar in the blood. Getting sufficient sleep is the best way to keep blood sugar at a normal level.

So to keep sugar at a normal level get sufficient sleep.

Why is managing blood sugar important?

There are various why managing blood sugar is important??

To keep blood sugar at the target level so it is necessary to take some of the precuations. High blood sugar can cause many effects like acid buildup in the bloodstream, or occur gradually over time, heart attack and strokes, kidney failure and dialysis, damage to the nervous system, leading to pain and weakness
